“Protecting Environment and Living Harmoniously

By late April, the sewage treatment plant constructed by Wison (Nanjing) Chemical Co., Ltd has been put into trial operation which shows that all parameters comply with the design standards and are superior to the Level I emission standard of Jiangsu Province. Thus this plant has been successfully put into normal operation. At present, it has undertaken all of the company's production & daily life sewage treatment work.
 

Because of high content of ammonia-nitrogen in sewage produced by coal-to-chemicals plant, the cost for emission remains high, and moreover, the daily production of the plant is also limited by the sewage treatment factory's treatment capacity. In order to effectively treat the sewage produced by Wison (Nanjing) Chemical Co., Ltd, and make comprehensive use of the sewage, Wison decided to construct sewage treatment plant while launching the syngas project of Phrase II,  so as to treat its production sewage by itself. With respect to the properties and contents of the sewage produced by the company, Wison invested 15 millions RMB to construct the treatment plant, which adopts the two-stage A/O biochemical treatment process (anaerobic/aerobic organism treatment process), and has a daily total sewage treatment capacity of 3,000 tons. It can not only undertake all of the company's sewage treatment works in Phrase I and Phrase II of the project, but also has room for further development in the future. This construction project started its design work at the beginning of 2008, in May it began its field construction work, and by November it went into the stage of equipment installation. In March, 2009, it realized the interim handover, and carried out the single machine commissioning and the cultivation and acclimation of sludge. By late April, 2009, it has successfully realized the normal operation of the plant.
 

The application of this sewage treatment plant is an active practice for Wison's HSE conception of "protecting the environment, integrating energy saving and emission reduction into its work, and always devoting to the harmonious coexistence of human and nature". This application not only further improves the environmental protection management capacity of Wison (Nanjing), but also reduces its emission costs, and lays a solid foundation for the successful commencement and later development of the syngas project in Phrase II. At present, Wsion (Nanjing) Chemical Co., Ltd is launching the follow-up work, such as "the recycled water reuse", and making efforts to realize the reuse of treated sewage in this year, so as to further improve its resource efficiency.
