On Sept. 9, 2009, a groundbreaking ceremony for 800kta ethylene cracking furnace project (including pipe-rack) undertaken by Wison Engineering Ltd as PC contractor was held on project site. Representatives from Sichuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd of CNPC, Wison Engineering Ltd, China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Corp. (HQCEC), Jilin Engineering Construction Supervision Company etc. attended the ceremony. Mr. Li Dong, General Manager of Sichuan Petrochemical Corporation delivered a kick-off speech of this project.
This project is a key part of the integrated petrochemical complex of Sichuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd., CNPC. Detail engineering will be done by HQCEC and the general procurement & construction (PC) contract was awarded to Wison.
