Shanghai China–2 September, 2011 –Wison Offshore & Marine (Hong Kong) Ltd., a subsidiary of the Wison Group headquartered in Shanghai China, announced today the re-naming of its wholly-owned Houston, Texas, subsidiary Wison Floating Systems, Inc. to Wison Offshore & Marine (USA), Inc. as part of a global re-branding of Wison’s upstream oil and gas division.
“Changing our name to Wison Offshore & Marine not only fully aligns us with our team in China, but also better reflects the activities we pursue as a company,” said Wison Offshore & Marine (USA), Inc. President and CEO L. Dwayne Breaux. “While our group in Houston is still focused on delivering the traditional deepwater floating systems on an EPCI or lease and operate basis, through our complete capabilities in China we can supply a greater variety of facilities to the market. This includes all types of offshore and marine products including drilling facilities, fixed platforms and modules, and marine construction and supply vessels.”
The re-naming is consistent with a recent move by the Wison Group to re-name the upstream division parent from Wison Heavy Industry to Wison Offshore & Marine and will have no effect on the company’s focus toward the development of major offshore projects for the oil and gas industry.
