Pucheng PE Unit Undertaken by Wison Awarded Prize for High-Quality Engineering Passed Performance Test by Owner

SHANGHAI, 14 October 2015 – Wison Engineering Services Co. Ltd. (the “Company”, “Wison Engineering”, SEHK stock code: 2236; together with its subsidiaries known as the “Group”), one of the largest private sector chemical engineering, procurement and construction management (“EPC”) service providers in China, today announced that a 300 kta PE project (PE) undertaken by its indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary, Wison Engineering Ltd., under an EPC contract was awarded the 2015 National High-Quality Engineering Prize for the Chemical Industry. Meanwhile, the PE unit has successfully passed a performance test organized by the owner, once again showcasing Wison Engineering’s EPC project management capability.

The PE plant was the main part of a 700 kta coal-to-olefins project for Shaanxi Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical Company Ltd. (“PCEC”), featuring the Unipol technology of UNIVATION Technologies, LLC. Wison Engineering provided the overall design, basic design, detailed design and procurement and construction management services. As for the performance test, the parameters - including production capacity of PE; consumption of the raw materials, fuel and power; main technical indicators; quality of products; three wastes emissions, etc. - all met the design requirements. Meanwhile, the ethylene feed volume of the PE plant reached 44.85 tons/hour for the first time and the qualified granular material production reached 47.8 tons /hour for the first time, and the plant has been operating over full capacity in a stable manner for more than 48 hours for the first time. These indicators show that the production capacity of the PE plant meets all requirements, laying a solid foundation to ensure safe, steady, long-term, full load and optimum operation. Wison Engineering’s capabilities in technology application and project management were fully proven in this project.

Due to the excellent project quality, Wison Engineering was awarded the National High Quality Engineering Prize for the Chemical Industry by the Authorized Committee of the National Chemical Engineering Construction Quality Prize. As the highest prize of the engineering construction in the chemical industry, the National High-Quality Engineering Prize for the Chemical Industry recognizes projects whose quality meets advanced levels in China or reaches the highest level of similar domestic units. Both economic and social benefits are also assessed.

During the implementation of the project, Wison Engineering’s project team gained recognition in many competitions or appraisals and won prizes that include “Advanced Safety Production Team”, “Outstanding EPC Company” and “2014 Civilized Construction Site  (Shanxi Province)”.  Wison Engineering’s project manager was also named “Advanced Safe-In-Work Project Manager”.
