Wison-Shell Bottom-Quench Gasification Technology Wins 900kt/a Methanol Project

(Shanghai, November 10, 2017) Wison Engineering (“Wison Engineering”, SEHK stock code: 2236) announced that Wison-Shell Bottom-Quench Gasification Technology on August 4, 2017 successfully won the contract of the Phase II 900kt/a Methanol Plant of the 1.5mt/a Methanol Project by Shaanxi Changqing Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd (“Shaanxi Changqing”) of Xuzhou Coal Mining Group. This is the third time that this technology has been applied anywhere. On October 27, Wison Engineering and Shaanxi Changqing officially signed the contract at the offices of Xuzhou Coal Mining Group and held the opening ceremony for the package design. Earlier, Wison Engineering secured the EPC contract of Phase I 600kt/a Methanol Plant.

Due to the application of a proprietary, multiple-burner layout and a stable and reliable gasification, Wison-Shell Bottom-Quench Gasification Technology not only improves the mixing effect of the gasification medium in the combustion chamber and extends the retention period, it also achieves a carbon conversion rate higher than 99% with a lower oxygen and coal consumption. The Technology has a significant advantage in the application of large-scale gasification furnaces of 1,500 ton and above, which could significantly decrease the operation cost of the owner and achieve a cleaner environment.
