Pucheng PE Unit Undertaken By Wison Marks Successful Start to Operations

SHANG HAI, 7 January 2015 – Wison Engineering Services Co. Ltd. (“Wison Engineering” or the “Company”, SEHK stock code: 2236, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”), the largest private sector chemical engineering, procurement and construction management (“EPC”) service provider in China, today announced that its indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary, Wison Engineering Ltd. (“Wison Engineering”) had made a successful feeding and start-up on Shaanxi Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical Company Ltd. (“PCEC”)’s 300kta PE project (PE) under an EPC contract. This is the first PE plant undertaken by Wison Engineering under an EPC contract, which not only shows the company’s project management capability involving design, procurement and construction management, but also marks the expansion of its design track record into new areas.

The PE plant was the main part of 700kta coal-to-olefins project of PCEC, featuring the Unipol technology of Univation Technologies, LLC. Wison Engineering provided the overall design, basic engineering design, detail design, procurement and construction management services. The project entered the design phase in September 2011 and was delivered on October 30, 2014. On January 4, 2015, the plant marked a successful start-up with the output of granular product at 23:55H, following the injection of a catalyst at 7:09H and the output of a powder product at 7:50H.

During the design and execution of the project, Wison Engineering took full reference from its PC experience in previous PE plants of Dushanzi and Sichuan petrochemicals, which were of a similar nature. It logged 2.45 million safety man hours without any lost-time incident by instituting excellent HSE management throughout the whole project. With many measures including clear graphics on site and soilless construction, the PE project also won the award for "The first batch of provincial civilized construction site of Shanxi Province in 2014".

Pucheng Clean Energy executives said that Wison Engineering had demonstrated its excellent project management capability in PE plants under an EPC contract. Wison’s professionalism, considerate service and prompt responses provided effective support for the unit start-up and set a benchmark for the on-site project.

The partnership between Wison Engineering and PCEC started from 2010 when Wison’ s proprietary MTO olefin separation technology was adopted in PCEC’s 700kta Coal-to-Olefin project, which saw the successful start-up of the DMTO unit last month. In 2012, Wison Engineering was awarded another EM+PC contract by PCEC to provide design management, procurement and construction services for a 700kta Coal-to-Olefin project’s utility unit and auxiliary facilities, which has been put in use to guarantee the successful feeding of all units.
